About the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology
The Graduate Diploma of Information Technology aims to provide advanced training in information technology for graduates with either IT or non-IT backgrounds. It also provides students with a detailed knowledge of the design, implementation, and management issues involved in the application of IT.
Course objectives
- To provide the skills for graduates to be proficient in the use of information technology and information systems to professionally develop solutions to real world problems
- To provide sufficient theoretical and conceptual background and associated skills to people already working in industry to use information technology more effectively as part of their jobs, and to deal effectively with information technology professionals who provide services to them.
* Only available to Australian citizens or holders of Australian permanent humanitarian visas (who meet eligibility requirements).
Advanced standing
You may receive up to 50% (four 8-point subjects) worth of credit into the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology program for related prior studies.
Credit will not be awarded for work experience.
You will be awarded credit for the subjects you have completed in the Graduate Diploma of Information Technology when you enrol in the Master of Information Technology.
