Kamia Grover is from India and is studying Master of Accountancy at the Study Centre Sydney
Before CSU, what did you do?
I have done a Bachelor of Science (Biology) in India. I was very confused about my career as I always had an affinity for business line and was pursuing science. I was searching for a right place, right course to choose for me to build my career in.
How did you first hear about CSU? What helped you make your decision?
I heard about CSU from the seminars by Australian Universities. I talked with the university representative and came to know more about the university. It convinced me straight away to get admitted to CSU. Academically, it is one of best universities and well recognised too, it is also conveniently located close to the CBD.
What have you enjoyed most about studying at CSU?
I was a biology student and was very nervous on my decision to join Business Faculty but the teachers made it much easier for me. CSU has the best teachers here to teach us. My favourite subject is Masters of Accountancy System. It has given me a good basic understanding of Accountancy and thus gave me a new approach to the subject and course.
What I enjoy at CSU the most is interacting with students from different countries, knowing about different cultures and nevertheless studying. I like the small class size and individual attention which has helped us understand the course well. Teachers listen carefully to our problems and doubts and then provide us with clear guidance. They understand that all students are not from English speaking countries thus make topics clear in simple language.
What are your plans after you complete your studies?
After completing the Master of Accountancy, I am planning to work for few years and then join the MBA program at CSU. I wish to be a CEO or Managing Director of a Multinational Company.
What are your hobbies?
I like painting, dancing, cooking, theatres and solving puzzles (diagrammatic, suzoko, IQ tests), reading books on Zodiac signs, personality development and motivating books.
My hobbies includes painting (paper, fabric, foil, emboss, mural, oil and glass paintings), dancing, listening to music, cooking and travelling.
What do you do at the weekends?
I love sleeping but often go out to the movies, shopping, to friend’s place and explore new places worth visiting.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of coming to CSU?
C = Come and experience and explore yourself while
S = Studying and
U = Ultimately lead yourself towards a bright future
