Meet Dana Phang

Dana is from Cambodia and is studying Bachelor of Business Management at the Study Centre Sydney

Before CSU, what did you do?

Before CSU, I was studying academic English at Embassy CES English Language, and after the 20 weeks of English language training, I had completed the course and had moved to Martin College to do the diploma of Business major in Travel & Tourism.

I wanted to do Bachelor degree after finishing my course.

Why did you decide to study at CSU? What helped you make your decision?

After doing some research, I found out that I could finish the Bachelor degree at CSU in just two years. This would save my time and money and provide me with the Bachelor. Hence, I made my decision to study at CSU.

What is your favourite subject and why?

Well, I have 2 favourite subjects that I enjoy the most - Business Strategy and Financial Management. Business Strategy is a very interesting subject as it provides the knowledge I would need for my future career. Financial Management is a very challenging subject, the subject is concept orientated, which I enjoy. Furthermore this subject allows me to gain more understanding and knowledge of areas such as financial calculation, market shares and financial profitability.

What have you enjoyed most about studying at CSU?

Studying at CSU has allowed me to meet and make friends from different nationalities. I really enjoy learning about different cultures. Furthermore, most staff at CSU are friendly, very welcoming, and the campus environment is good. I enjoy studying at CSU because the lecturers are very friendly, helpful and very experienced. They always provide clear explanations about learning materials which has helped me fully understand the course.

What are your plans after you complete your studies?

Well once I complete my studies, my first plan is to help my brother manage his business as I have some skills and technical knowledge in such area from my study at CSU. After few years of experience and saving, I would like to have a juice bar on my own as I believe I can make my business successful with full confidence from what I have done and what I have been taught at CSU.  

What are your career ambitions?

I would like to own my own business, and in 10 years time I hope to become millionaires and be a very successful business woman! I would like to own bigger company as I get older, until I retire at the age of 60. The course is taught well by the CSU lecturers, at the same time you can save your time and money by studying shorter period and paying less school fees at CSU.
